The Westerlo Library still has Spicey Take-and-Makes for you to take home and try! Each kit includes the ingredients for some soothing Golden Milk and extra turmeric for two other recipes that are included or any other recipes that you may want to try.

On Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 1 p.m., you will have an opportunity to share virtually to talk about what recipes you tried. We’d also love to see photos of your recipes on our Facebook page so be sure to share there as well! Just because we can’t always be together doesn’t mean we can’t share as a community.

Take a walk in the Westerlo town park to read “Lion Lessons” by Jon Agee.

Do your little ones like story time and outdoor fun? Now they can enjoy both by taking a StoryWalk at the Westerlo Town Park!

As you read “Lion Lessons” by Jon Agee together, your child will be encouraged to engage with the story. Each page has an activity card that asks the child to look for objects on the pages, count objects, and even roar like a lion!

The StoryWalk begins at the park pavilion. Look toward the yellow side of the closest post to find the next page. (The pages are numbered.)

Many thanks to our friends at the Upper Hudson Library System, the Westerlo Town Board, Jody Ostrander, and Laura Tenney for helping to make this StoryWalk possible.

The StoryWalk Project was created by Anne Fergusson of Montpelier, Vermont and developed with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. StoryWalk is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.
