On Sunday, Jan. 12, the Berne-Knox-Westerlo indoor track traveled to Springfield College to compete in the seventh annual Ed Cepiel Springfield invitational. The boys finished in sixth with 39 points and the girls in 26th with seven.
On Friday, Jan. 10, the Voorheesville boys’ team took on Ichabod Crane in a Colonial Council matchup at home. The Blackbirds and Riders battled till the final whistle where both teams scraped and clawed for points as the Birds won 49-to-45.
Last Thursday, Jan. 9, the Voorheesville bowling squad took on a talented Warriors squad at Towne Bowling Academy in the second half of their season. The Birds started well but Mohonasen took control as the Blackbirds fell 25-to-7 (3523-3211 in total pins).
Last Wednesday, Jan. 8, the Guilderland bowling squad kicked off their second half of the season with a home match against Christian Brothers Academy at Town n’ Country. The Dutch dominated the lanes as they won 24-to-8 (3604-3329 in total pins).
On Saturday, Jan. 4, the Guilderland Nordic ski team traveled to North Creek Ski Bowl to compete in the Queensbury Invitational. It was a cold and windy day but the boys finished in third place with 32 points and the girls finished sixth with 80.
On Friday, Jan. 3, the Guilderland gymnastics team kicked off 2025 by hosting Bethlehem at Lynnwood Elementary. The Dutch battled hard in all four events but fell, 160.625 to 156.825.
