Westerlo Library Notes for Tuesday, August 25, 2020

As August comes to a close, the library is looking forward to September. The kids will begin school — in person, virtually, home-schooling, or some combination. The library staff is here to assist in any way we can. Give us a call at 518-797-3415 or email us at with any questions or suggestions.

New programs

for adults

I would like to offer more programming for adults. I have added a monthly book club that will meet virtually. I have some ideas, but I want to offer programming that you want. If you have a suggestion or are willing to share a talent or interest with others please contact me at .

Summer Reading Program

The Summer Reading Program is coming to an end on Aug. 29 and Aug. 31. On those two days we will have all of our remaining Take-and-Make kits available (outside if the weather allows and inside if not). We will also have Imagine Your Story kits for you to take.

All of our online story times and Take and Make kits videos can be viewed on our Facebook page. Even though we couldn’t be together, we hope you all had fun reading and doing these activities throughout the summer!

Browse by appointment

Please note our service hours are now from 3 to 6 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday and Saturday.

We continue to have a limited number of appointments available to come inside and browse. Please check our website https://www.westerlolibrary.org/  or call 518-797-3415 during our regular hours for an appointment or porch pick up. At this time all visits to the library are by appointment.  Properly worn face coverings are required during your visit.

If you have any questions on how to safely get library materials please give us a call at the library and one of our staff members will be happy to help you out.
