Westerlo Library Notes for Wednesday, September 2, 2020

It’s back-to-school time! This year that may look different and the library wants to remind you that we are here to help you.

We will be offering hours that will cater to families with children who want homework help or are home-schooling. Families will be able to email reference questions or request materials on a topic before their visit.

These hours will allow families to come in, while wearing face coverings for the protection of our staff, and use the Wi-Fi inside on their own devices.

Each month, our Youth Service staff will provide theme-based STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) kits for families to take home and do. Kids love STEM and these kits will make both learning and teaching fun!

Two ways

to serve you!

The library is now serving you in two convenient ways. We have contactless pick-up service on our porch. After you place your holds, we will call you to schedule a pick up time. Your items will be waiting on the porch for you at your scheduled time. It’s that easy.

For those of you who want to come in and browse, we continue to have a limited number of appointments available. Please check our website at https://www.westerlolibrary.org/  or call 518-797-3415 during our regular hours for an appointment or porch pick-up. At this time, all visits to the library are by appointment. Properly-worn face coverings are required during your visit.

If you have any questions on how to safely get library materials, please give us a call at the library and one of our staff members will be happy to help you.

Please note our service hours are now from 3 to 6 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday and Saturday.
