MIDDLEBURGH — Richard S. Hempstead, who worked for General Electric, died unexpectedly on Monday, June 25, 2018. He was 35.

He was born on March 21, 1983 in Albany, the son of Gerald “Dick” and Linda Hempstead.

He attended Middleburgh High School. He was employed with GE Turbine of Florida.

Elizabeth Rose Gwin and Michael Bernard Firestone were married on June 16, 2018 at The Country Club in Brookline, Massachusetts. The groom’s twin sister, Emma Firestone, received permission from Massachusetts to officiate.

Loretta H. Crewell

KNOX — Loretta H. Crewell was a warm and kind person who cared about her family and her church above everything. She died on Friday, June 22, 2018, after a brief illness. She was 88.
