Last Thursday through Saturday, Nov. 6 through Nov. 8, Guilderland-Voorheesville and Bethlehem swim squads took to the pool at Shenendehowa to look to qualify for the state competition on Nov. 21 to 22 at Webster High School in Rochester.

Superintendent Frank Macri noted that Voorheesville had worked with various law enforcement agencies on the incident, and that he was told the school district’s experience happens “more often than you can imagine.”

Hilltowns

BERNE — On Monday, Berne-Knox-Westerlo voters heartily approved a $5.142 million project to reroof both the elementary and secondary schools.

The capital project was approved with 77 percent of the vote: 295 to 87, according to figures released by the district.
