To the Editor:

Every now and again, Earth is graced with an extraordinary person — one who makes such a huge positive impact upon the world as to leave an indelible mark of goodness, and an aching void of sadness in the wake of his departure from this life.

To the Editor:

The next Knox Town Board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 11, at 7:30 p.m. I have requested that the subject of allowing Hitmans towing business to continue to operate on Route 146 be discussed at the meeting.

To the Editor:

Talk about hitting the nail on the head: Mr. Chris Brown, thank you.

If you didn't see his letter, please look at the Jan. 30 Enterprise; it’s well worth the read.

To the Editor:

As we have done every February for the past 25 years, the Altamont Reformed Church will participate in the Church World Service “Blankets +” program to raise money for projects in many parts of the world that help people recover from disasters such as Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.

To the Editor:

Once again, our public schools are planning to use the palatial school auditoriums they’ve built with our tax dollars to conduct a massive, region-wide pep rally. And why would they not?

To the Editor:

I am writing in response to the recent publications about the funding for our Hilltown Community Resource Center, your most recent article being named “County to lend counseling hand for BKW.”

To the Editor:

I am the granddaughter of Emil Meyrowitz and was fortunate to read Tyler Frisbee’s letter to the editor in The Altamont Enterprise, Jan. 9. 2014 issue.

To the Editor:

In terms of our most important mission of spay/neuter, 2013 was our most active and successful year: 806 cats and 175 dogs.

More important than these numbers is the fact that we prevented the births of thousands, of unwanted kittens and puppies who would have faced uncertain and painful futures.
