Discovery Workshops were presented at Town Hall by the Knox Youth Council and the Knox Town Board this past weekend.

The Knox Town Board appointed several new members to the planning and zoning boards as well as to the conservation advisory council.

On a cold and blustery Saturday, the seventh annual Sap Run 5K in Knox kicked off the two-weekend Maple Festival. The race was delayed about 10 minutes after a dog bit one of the runners warming up before the race. After that, 79 runners took to the streets.

While other Knox residents have spoken out in favor of a new business district in town, residents living in that proposed district are concerned about pollution and noise, and wonder why the town has brought the issue back up for debate.

The Knox Town Board postponed until March a vote to submit an application for the Clean Energy Communities grant, which the town has been in process of applying for since completing four energy-saving “action items” last summer.

In Knox, the 2018 budget looks to decrease the gap between the amount of money secured for the year and the amount spent, despite prospective increases in the health insurance and tipping fees for trash disposal.
