On March 4th, the Voorheesville Boys basketball team held their Senior Night at Clayton A. Bouton High School. The Blackbirds honored their six seniors and five senior cheerleaders before the game against Colonial Council foe Schalmont.
On February 18th, the Guilderland girls and Voorheesville girls basketball teams opened up their shortened season against one another at Guilderland High School in Guilderland. No fans were allowed inside the gym but the game was live-streamed via Guilderland High School Media program.
The Voorheesville Blackbirds bowling team was looking to gather momentum towards Wednesday, Feb. 10th Colonial Council Championships on Monday afternoon in a virtual match against LaSalle at Town n’ Country lanes in Guilderland.
The Guilderville boys swimming, made up of Guilderland and Voorheesville students, took on Shaker Blue Bison in a Jan. 21 virtual swim meet. Guilderville won 95 to 75 and improved their record to 4-1.
On Tuesday afternoon at Town n' Country lanes in Guilderland, Voorheesville had a virtual match against Cobleskill-Richaondville, both teams bowl in their home lanes and send in scores due to the pandemic. The Blackbirds won 17.5 to 14.5.
Last Thursday, the Guilderville boys swimming team held a virtual match against Niskayuna. The combined team of Guilderland-Voorheesville won 94 to 88.
On Friday and Saturday, the Guilderville girls swimming team, made up of Guilderland-Voorheesville students, swam at Shenendehowa High School for the Suburban Council Championships. The team finished 5th overall with 216 points.
Guilderland-Voorheesville girls swim team under the helm of Jenna Hyary have started the shorten season 4-0 with all their meets virtual due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Guilderville won both meets, 118-47 against Troy-Averill Park, and 102-81 against Schenectady-Colonie.
