Photos: Dutch and Blackbirds Bring Home Sectional Champs

This past weekend, starting on Jan.27 thru Jan.30, Guilderland, Voorheesville, and Berne-Knox-Westerlo indoor track teams took to the track in an attempt to bring home Section 2 titles. Guilderland girls finished second, a first in school history with 132 points, the boys finished second as well with 85. Voorheesville girls finished third with 59 and the boys in 9th. BKW boys finished in 12th.

In line: Voorheesville’s Derek Hillcross (11) leads his teammates Mason Carl (8) and Nick Reilly (5) in the boys’ 1600-meter run. Carl led the Blackbirds with a 6th place finish with a time of 5:41.07, Reilly in 7th with a time of 5:41.00 and Hillcross in 10th with a time of 6:14.96.
