Photos: Blackbirds Show Their Talents On The Track

On Jan. 2, the Voorheesville Blackbirds indoor track team, coming off quarantine, showed their talents at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy in the Tri County Indoor Track League 5D meet. The girls team finished ninth with 14.50 points while the boys finished 12th with eight points.

Ready to launch: Voorheesville’s Cailyn Deeb starts her triple jump leap during her first jump on Sunday afternoon. Deeb finished in 11th in the triple jump with a distance of 27 feet, 5.75 inches and finished in 21st in the long jump with a distance of 11 feet, 1.75 inches.

Up and over: Voorheesville’s Phoenix Homer leaps over the hurdle as he raced against Guilderland’s TJ Casavant and Tamarac-Hoosick Falls in the first heat in the 55-meter hurdle event. Homer finished second with a time of 10.23.
