The Voorheesville boys’ basketball team hoped to move up the Colonial Council standings with a critical matchup against Cobleskill-Richmondville last Friday night at home.The Birds battled hard but fell short in a 64-to-49 loss.

NEW SCOTLAND — Betty Marie Moak (née Tenney) “was an independent woman who traveled the world,” her family said.

She died on Monday, Jan. 1, 2018, at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany. She was 92.

The Voorheesville Central School District received good news from the state about Regents testing.

An interpretation by the county attorney of the three-year lease-to-purchase agreement of the Clarksville Elementary School between the Albany County Sheriff’s Office and the Bethlehem Central School District has the sheriff’s office looking to purchase the building outright as soon as possible.
