More than a decade since the pool closed at Thacher Park, the Knox Youth Council will offer free swimming lessons to children in the Hilltowns this summer.

BERNE — In a close race, Berne-Knox-Westerlo School Board President Matthew Tedeschi won another three-year term on the board Tuesday.

The number of employees allowed to work at a home business would increase in both Berne and Knox should proposed amendments pass.

The property at 22 Hammond Road, which a former county legislator wanted to buy for $60,000, was sold for $66,500 to a couple who has lived on adjacent property for years.

The Berne-Knox-Westerlo superintendent says that he has every right to post campaign signs in front of his home, supporting the current school board president, Matthew Tedeschi, and his running mate, Rebecca Miller, for the district’s board of education.
