Last Wednesday, Oct. 1, the Berne-Knox-Westerlo-Duanesburg girls’ soccer squad hosted the Johnstown Lady Bills at Duanesburg Elementary. The Beagles netted the first but then stretched their lead in the second half when the Lady Bills played with 10 on the pitch. The Beagles won 4-0.

“An unusually dry period” combined with the danger of fallen leaves accumulating led to the ban, according to a proclamation signed by the governor.
