This year’s theme is the classic video game Mario Kart. The display has Rainbow Road, Warp Pipes that lead to other worlds, and bleachers beside a lighted racetrack.

Sixteen months after being rebuked, the board is back with a clear plan. 

“Do you want to be an extra in a large scale medieval battle scene?” asks an online post, looking for volunteers from Oct. 20 to 25.

GUILDERLAND — Before the schools were centralized, Guilderland had 14 districts with a schoolhouse for each of the hamlets in town.

The Guilderland Historical Society currently has an exhibit, “Guilderland’s One-Room Schoolhouses,” on display of photos and artifacts at the Guilderland Public Library.

The sign, which says “John Wolcott Pine Bush Hikers’ Underpass,” will be displayed on the Thruway underpass for County Route 155. The underpass connects walkers and wildlife to the Pine Bush Preserve.

GUILDERLAND —  A Leandra’s Law arrest followed multiple 911 calls from Heritage Village Apartments of a woman screaming for help on Wednesday night.

The proposed shop — 2093 Western Avenue, a multi-tenant building currently home to a dog salon — is located within a quarter mile of Guilderland’s second town-approved dispensary at 2028 Western Avenue.

“We would like to hear about assistant coaches across the board,” said Board President Blanca Gonzalez-Parker. “How were the decisions made? Who has them? Who doesn’t? Is there, in fact, a disparity between male and female teams? That sort of thing.”

“This morning we are awarding over $225,000 to 16 municipalities with a goal and a purpose to enhance and develop city, town, and village-owned parks, playgrounds, and recreational facilities across Albany County,” said Joanne Cunningham, who chairs the county legislature.

“I’m here tonight,” Rachel Mormino told the Guilderland School Board, “because the school failed my child.”
