Sgt. 1st Class Brandon Willit from Voorheesville has re-enlisted to continue service with the 2nd Civil Support Team of the New York State National Guard.
Hikers in John Boyd Thacher State Park on Saturday found human remains and items that belonged to Bruce L. Decker, who had been missing in the park since February.

Voorheesville held its annual Memorial Day parade Saturday morning, starting a day of festivities that included races, a barbecue, and fireworks. Marines led the way, holding American and New York State flags as the parade marched down Maple Avenue.
