Town officials have been aware of a deficit in the water district fund for years, but continued with its budgeting practices into 2014, the audit report found, and the town's court did not conduct several basic, documented accounting practices.

BERNE — Margaret M. Della Rocco, of Berne, loved her forestry work; her homemaking arts; her church; and, most of all her family.

She died on Monday, March 31, 2014, at Albany Medical Center. She was 55.

WESTERLO — In regular correspondence with her mother in New Jersey, Constance Teator included and received excerpted Bible verses that she pinned on her kitchen wall in Freehold, tucked into her Bible, and left out for her family to read.

About 80 Berne-Knox-Westerlo students this weekend will display the flair of 1950s pop culture in a plot, dotted with humor, about generational tensions.

How many people do you know that are aware of a shooting range in John Boyd Thacher State Park? Located on Beaver Dam Road, just west of Pinnacle Road, it has never been clearly marked with a sign that the public might know of its existence.

Monday, March 24, was a cold 9-degree above day. But, it was my Zoey day and everything was warm and cozy.

My loving granddaughter, Kassi Rae Neal, came over and had lunch with us. She carried Zoey around like an airplane and Zoey giggled loudly.

Monday, March17, was my sister, Pat’s birthday. Pat came to visit me for a few hours and we enjoyed lunch together. My sister only lives in Schenectady but we don’t see each other as much as we’d like to.
