The Knox group Helderberg Community Energy is hoping to take advantage of community net metering in order to supply solar-generated power to homes in Knox and Berne.

The 46-year-old Marna Meltzer McMorris lives in Guilderland and comes from an assistant principal position in Niskayuna.

 “Our cat, he sometimes jumps on the table and sometimes ruins the puzzle,” Quinn Toomey said of the family pet, Hobo, during his family’s Christmas puzzle-making tradition.

The 120 voters who came to the firehouse Tuesday night far surpassed the usual turnout for such special elections.
