A 40-year-old woman feels she was discriminated against for her neurological problems and fears she will have extended panic attacks in jail.

BERNE — As the sunny weather in the past week has sprouted seeds in backyards across the area, a couple is asking people to dig up their plants and bring them to the town park on May 16.

The Berne Library trustees would like to thank everyone who took the time to participate in the community survey for long range planning for our library. The results are on the Berne Library website www.bernepubliclibrary.org.

Spread the Word!  The Friends of the Berne Library are sponsoring a Scrabble Fundraiser at the Berne Public Library on Saturday, May 16, from 2 to 5 p.m.

Play two games of Scrabble and enjoy refreshments between games.  There will be prizes for the highest scorers.

Psychologist Casey Everett testified Friday that she could upset her nieces, Cheyanne and Christine White, and be emotionally overwhelmed if reunited with them. On Monday, he said her neices resisted seeing her.

Berne’s Game Farm Road project is well underway.  The Berne Town Board requested candidates for positions to a project board that, together with the town board, will oversee the property’s development.  

On Tuesday, April 21, the Old Men of the Mountain met at Mrs. K’s Restaurant in Middleburgh where the OFs (who the wives kick out of the house so they can have some peace) gather to complain.
