Wrestlers from the combined Berne-Knox-Westerlo and Voorheesville team have had a tough season. Last Thursday, only five team members could compete against Fonda-Fultonville/Johnstown as the others sat out with injuries.

The Berne-Knox-Westerlo Bulldogs had a chance to even the score with Mekeel Christian Academy last Friday after the Bulldogs’ sectional semifinal loss to the Mekeel Lions last year. The teams were evenly matched; the first four minutes, no one scored.

EAST BERNE — Marcia J. Pangburn, a devoted and fun-loving mother, worked hard as an x-ray technician to support her children.

She died on Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018, after a short illness. She was 60.
