A newly appointed alternate to the Knox Zoning Board signals a third change to the town’s planning and zoning boards, following several new appointments and the enactment of an attendance law.

A former state worker who has developed programs for abused women and the mentally ill, Muriel Frasher said she is eager to serve her town as judge.

A state grant could fund the majority of repairs to the Westerlo Highway Garage, a task that the town has struggled to complete due to residents’ concerns about high cost.

The group “In His Presence” will hold a retreat on May 11 through 12 for women who have had a cancer diagnosis and who want to strengthen their Christian faith.

The state budget left the Berne-Knox-Westerlo School District with an additional $97,000 to spend, said the superintendent.

SCHENECTADY — Richard Donald Zink, of Schenectady, formerly of Rensselaerville, was a man who made family the most important thing and enjoyed tinkering, hunting, and fishing. He died on Sunday, April 1, 2018, with his family beside him. He was 78.
