“It’s something like ‘The Music Man’ to me,” said an audience member in response to a proposed  Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps, which a former Army officer said he received 32 signatures of interested students at Berne-Knox-Westerlo.

For the Berne-Knox-Westerlo Bulldogs, Saturday was a first. The school had never before fielded an indoor track team and this was the team’s first meet.

A Freedom of Information Law request made by The Enterprise has revealed blank building inspection reports in the town of Knox going back as far as 2014 and stretching into 2017.

Appointments and dismissals should be based on merit, not based on political reward or punishment.

A couple in Westerlo have created a restaurant out of a barn on their property.

BERNE — Willard J. Osterhout, a man who lived to serve his community, died on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, at his Berne home surrounded by his family. He was 77.

“He was a very easygoing, friendly person,” said his daughter, Teri Osterhout. “Everybody loved him; with everybody he was generous.”
