Rensselaerville sees one new official on the town board following unopposed elections.

Come Jan. 1, Joel Willsey will be the sole Democrat on the Berne Town Board, long a Democratic stronghold, as GOP-backed candidates again swept to victory.

BERNE — Michael R. Morey, a veteran of the United States Air Force, died unexpectedly on Friday, Oct. 18, 2019. He was 58.

He was born in Albany on Sept. 15, 1961, a son of the late Bob Morey.

Bonnie Donati, a Republican making her fourth run for town justice, was victorious. “I’ve had a judge’s robe in my basement for 22 years,” she told The Enterprise on Election Night. “I get to wear it now.”

Frances Miller

BERNE — Frances B. Miller, a centenarian as of last July, spent 100 years in devotion and kindness to those around her. She died Friday, Nov. 1, 2019. 

KNOX — On July 3, 2018, two lawsuits were filed against the town of Knox, each regarding a covenant on the plaintiffs’ properties. They were filed with the Albany County Clerk’s office on Oct. 18, 2019.

RENSSELAERVILLE — “It’s happening to us here and now,” the deputy director of the Natural Resources Defense Council’s Science Center warned the crowd that gathered Saturday to celebrate 80 years of research at the Huyck Preserve Field Station.

RENSSELAERVILLE — Surrounded by contentious elections in the other Hilltowns, Rensselaerville has decided its grass is green enough with all its seats going unopposed, mostly to be held by their incumbents.
