BETHLEHEM — The Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a week-long trip to Iceland in January. Chamber members, their families and friends, and travelers from the community are invited to join the trip to the volcanic island in the North Atlantic Ocean.

BETHLEHEM — Albany Med EmUrgentCare, a walk-in clinic providing a range of urgent-care services by Albany Medical Center clinicians, will open a new facility in Glenmont, in the town of Bethlehem.

The clinic opens on Oct. 1 in the Price Chopper Plaza on Route 9W.

BETHLEHEM — Art on the Rail Trail, a committee of the Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy, is holding a Meet the Artists Community Meeting at the Bethlehem Town Hall Auditorium on Thursday, Sept. 7, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

A Delmar man who pleaded guilty to attempting to promote sexual performance of a child was sentenced to two years in state prison and will have to register as a sex offender.

BETHLEHEM — The Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce’s Holiday Shopping Card, which is free, offers discounts and promotions to 51 local businesses.

— Grace Ayer of Delmar at Ithaca College was awarded Player of the Week by Empire 8 for her swimming performance. Ayer helped lead Ithaca to a 2-0 opening weekend. The senior finished first place in the 200-yard freestyle, 100-yard breaststroke, 100-yard IM and the 200-yard medley relay;

 

BETHLEHEM — Kevin Popp of Delmar was sentenced Tuesday to one-and-a-third to four years in State Prison before Judge Stephen W. Herrick in Albany County Court. On Sept. 27, Popp had pleaded guilty to one count of driving while intoxicated, a felony.
