BPD investigates Glenmont Dollar Tree robbery
BETHLEHEM — An armed robbery took place at the Glenmont Dollar Tree, at 388 Feura Bush Road, at 8:29 p.m. on Sunday.
Store employees reported to the Bethlehem Police that they were leaving the store to make the night deposit drop when they were approached by a 6-foot tall black man, wearing a mask, a hooded sweatshirt, and dark pants who displayed what appeared to be a dark-colored handgun and demanded the money, according to a release from the Bethlehem Police.
The suspect fled on foot south along Route 9W toward the rear of the shopping plaza, with an undetermined amount of money, the June 25 release said; a police dog and handler from the Albany County Sheriff’s Department are trying to track the suspect and police are continuing to search the area for the suspect and possible leads.
Bethlehem Police are requesting that anyone who was in the area of the Dollar Tree at the time of the robbery and saw someone fitting the suspect’s description or any vehicles in the rear of the Glenmont Plaza to call 518-439-9973.
