BETHLEHEM — Two teens, stealing from a supermarket, police say, fled and crashed into a marked Bethlehem police car.
Police arrested Bishop A. Fraser and Jaquan D. Johnson — both 19-year-old Albany residents.

BETHLEHEM — The Delmar Community Orchestra will begin rehearsals for its fall season on Monday, Sept. 12, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Delmar Reformed Church at 386 Delaware Ave. in Delmar.

A woman charged with stealing from a 96-year-old Selkirk man she had been paid to care for has recently been sentenced to one-and-a-half to three years in prison, according to the Bethlehem Police Department.

BETHLEHEM — The town’s commercial district will soon be connected to the county’s rail trail with a new path supported by a state grant.

Bethlehem has received $1.5 million from the state’s Department of Transportation, which the town will match with $392,385.

BETHLEHEM — A detached garage at the rear of  202 Glenmont Road was “fully involved” on Sunday at 2:42 p.m. after Bethlehem Police received a report of the structure fire.
Residents were able to leave their home without injury, according to a Sunday evening release from the Bethlehem Police Department.

A marker was recently placed near the site of the long-gone “Glenmont on the Hudson” estate owned by Elisha Powell Hurlbut, originating the name of the modern-day Bethlehem hamlet of Glenmont.
