SLINGERLANDS — On Friday morning, following two similar incidents in May, a truck traveling west on New Scotland Road got stuck under the rail-trail bridge.

BETHLEHEM — Very early Monday morning, a Ravena woman, driving south on River Road, hit a pedestrian pushing a shopping cart in the middle of the southbound lane, according to a release from Bethlehem Police.

BETHLEHEM — A head-on crash Wednesday afternoon on River Road in Glenmont killed a Hannacroix man.

George W. Carter, 60, was driving south on River Road in a 2013 Kia as Brandon C. Littljohn, 26, of Troy, was driving north in a 2020 pickup truck when they collided, according to a release from the Bethlehem Police.

SLINGERLANDS — On Saturday evening, May 22, a box truck traveling east on Route 85 struck the underpass of the county’s rail-trail bridge.

BETHLEHEM — A hiker on the rail trail Sunday stopped to help an unconscious man who pulled a Taser on his resuscitator when he came to, according to a release from the Bethlehem Police.

Alexander Carp, 23, was charged on Tuesday with menacing and criminal possession of a weapon in the April 25 incident.
