BERNE — Incumbent Helen Lounsbury has been on the Berne-Knox-Westerlo School Board for eight years, and is retired from a 35-year career as a teacher in the district.

GUILDERLAND — What if Guilderland School District residents vote down next year’s budget on May 18?

ALTAMONT — A grand archway once marked the village entrance to the Altamont Fair from, appropriately enough, Grand Street.

Marie McMillen, the fair’s operations manager, would like to see that entryway rebuilt.

GUILDERLAND — After just under a year on the school board, Julie Fletcher Cuneo, last May’s top vote-getter, is stepping down.

Although she regrets not finishing her three-year term, Cuneo said, she’s putting family first.

A Remembrance Ceremony will be held on May 16 for the families and friends of those who have died of suicide.

BERNE — The Hilltown Homefront Patriots are holding another Tea Party event, on Saturday, May 8, focusing on government finances.
