Portion of rail trail closed for bridge work

NEW SCOTLAND — The Albany County Rail Trail near the Bender Melon Farm Preserve Bridge in New Scotland is closed through Tuesday, April 30, because the bridge is being upgraded.

This is the area between Hilton Road and Upper Font Grove Road.

Albany man charged with retail thefts at Crossgates, Market 32

GUILDERLAND — An Albany man was arrested on April 17 for a string of retail thefts in Guilderland.

Damir A. Willis, 27, was taken into custody on a bench warrant and four arrest warrants, all issued from Guilderland Town Court.

New Scotland condo project appears poised for approval

New Jersey man charged in Slingerlands robbery

BETHLEHEM — Majid Godje, 24, of Jersey City, was arrested on April 15 for a robbery last December in a Slingerlands parking lot.

Bethlehem Police traveled to New Jersey to make the arrest and were helped in the investigation by the United States Marshal Task Force in New York and New Jersey.
