ALTAMONT — Lena Capuano, a religious woman active in church and community affairs, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 26, 2018. She was 90.

She was born in Saranac Lake on Jan. 17, 1928 to the late Luigi and Eliza Bargnesi Sorcinelli.

Three positions are open on the Guilderland Public Library’s board of trustees. Two seats that were appointed are up, and those board members both plan to run. Seven other town residents have also expressed interest.

The town is looking to replace highway Superintendent Steve Oliver, who resigned more than a year before his term was up.
