Last Friday, at the Dunkin Donuts on Western Avenue in Guilderland. The Guilderland Police Department helped raised funds for the Special Olympics. The police officers were supposed to be on the roofs as well but the Guilderland location's roof was unsafe for the officers.

Raising funds: Guilderland Police Officer Patricia Stallmer, left, stands behind Special Olympics athlete Matthew Graham as a patron hands over a donation for a T-shirt in the Cops on Top fundraiser at the Dunkin’ Donuts shop at 2040 Western Ave. in Guilderland. The idea was for police officers to stand on the roofs of participating Dunkin’ Donuts shops to raise money but the roof at the Guilderland location was unsafe for officers to stand on due to ductwork from the heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems.
