GUILDERLAND — A Guilderland man was charged with armed robbery Thursday night after money was stolen from the Subway shop in Carpenter Plaza.

Andrew M. Clark, 27, of 2512 Western Ave. lives just a few blocks from the plaza at 2568 Western Ave.

Starbucks-owned Teavana had better advertising, Short and Stout Tea’s owner Joyce Zacharewicz said, but she has loyal customers who like to support local businesses.

Police say a Schenectady man recklessly damaged a piece of anti-theft equipment worth $5,000.

GUILDERLAND — On Tuesday, the state’s highest court, the Court of Appeals, suspended Richard J. Sherwood from the office of justice of Guilderland Town Court. The court ordered that he be suspended immediately with pay.

Four good friends who have been swimming together since they were 9 have qualified for state competition.
