The town board will interview all fourteen candidates to replace Richard Sherwood, who resigned after being arrested on felony charges.

He didn’t like high school and he didn’t complete it. Later, after he went to college and graduate school to become a teacher, Thomas Lutsic wanted to help kids have a different experience.

GUILDERLAND — The Guilderland Town Board voted unanimously Tuesday night to list for sale the town’s interest in the historic Doctor Crounse House, located at 759 Route 146, just outside of Altamont on the village’s Main Street.

Community Caregivers hosted the 17th annual “Italian Night at the Omni” dinner on Saturday, March 10.

The winter season for the Bulldogs, Blackbirds, and Dutchmen was hot on the court, on the mat, on the track, and in the pool. Some teams made it all the way to the state competition and some showed heart and determination in efforts to get to states.

Westmere Elementary physical education classes took to the snow last week to introduce the students to new ways of getting exercise.

Guilderland High School hosted their 10th annual dodgeball tournament in efforts to raise money for the Altamont Food Pantry.

On Mar. 9, Altamont Elementary held their Celebrate America Festival raised funds for end-of-the-year celebrations.

Most of the Guilderland students on the winning teams are freshmen.
