BETHLEHEM — Wednesday morning, police stopped the driver of a tractor trailer for a traffic violation and discovered he was wanted on felony charges of kidnapping, aggravated assault, and unlawful possession of a weapon, according to a release from Bethlehem Police.

Alexander Hamilton will face one to three years in prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter in December.

At his arrest on Jan. 16 at Guilderland’s Carpenter Village Apartments, the court heard, numerous law-enforcement officials with guns drawn pulled Raymond Donlon from his vehicle to the entryway of his building and said they wanted to search his apartment.

Police say a man from Albany tried to get into a home by throwing a large rock through a window.

Footprints indicate someone broke into the Rensselaerville farm and stole the young goats, police say.

Police have not received any reports of Donlon having abused any children in Guilderland.

Most defendants surrender on the day of sentencing, said Cecilia Walsh, spokeswoman for the Albany County District Attorney’s Office.

Sterling Jewelers Inc. — doing business as Kay Jewelers, Jared The Galleria of Jewelry, and several other brands — had agreed to pay $11 million in penalties after an investigation by the state Attorney General’s Office and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau showed that Sterling signed consumers up for store credit cards without the their knowledge or consent.
