On May 5, the Berne-Knox-Westerlo baseball team traveled to Cooperstown to play at the historic Doubleday field against the Cherry Valley Springfield-Sharon Springs combined team. The Bulldogs led from the start but fell in the bottom of the seventh, 6 to 5.

On Thursday, Apr. 28, the Berne-Knox-Westerlo track team traveled to Galway to take on the Golden Eagles. The Bulldogs fell, 83 to 46, on the boys’ side, and 100 to 29 on the girls’ side.

On Saturday, Apr. 2, the Berne-Knox-Westerlo softball team participated in the Kris Haver Memorial Tournament at the Mudville Softball Complex in Herkimer. The Bulldogs took on Unatego in the first game of the tournament and won 3-1.

On Tuesday, Mar. 1, the BKW Bulldogs traveled to Colonie High School for the Section 2 Class C sectional semifinals. BKW faced the second seeded Greenwich. The Bulldogs had a tough time against the Witches defense and fell 58-31.

This past weekend, Feb. 25, three local wrestlers from Guilderland, Berne-Knox-Westerlo, and Middleburgh sought to earn state championships in their weight classes.

On Saturday, Feb. 19, the Berne-Knox-Westerlo girls basketball team started their Section 2, Class C sectional game at home against Rensselaer. The Bulldogs had a slow start but finished strong to hold off the Rams in their 52-38 win.

On Saturday, Feb. 12, seven Guilderland Dutchmen and three Berne-Knox-Westerlo/Middleburgh wrestlers competed against all Section 2 teams to earn a spot at the state competition later this month at the MVP Arena.

This past weekend, starting on Jan.27 thru Jan.30, Guilderland, Voorheesville, and Berne-Knox-Westerlo indoor track teams took to the track in an attempt to bring home Section 2 titles.

The Berne-Knox-Westerlo boys basketball team was home on a very cold evening, Jan. 21, to face-off against Western Athletic Conference foe Mayfield. The Bulldogs turned up the heat on the Panthers, winning 76 to 55.

On Friday, Jan. 14, the Berne-Knox-Westerlo girls basketball team hosted Duanesburg for a Western Athletic Conference matchup. It was also a celebratory time for BKW, as head coach Tom Galvin celebrated his 400th win. The Bulldogs tried to rally but fell 80-64.
