Photos: Bulldogs Battle With Some NYS Bests

On Saturday, Sept. 14, the Berne-Knox-Westerlo cross-country team competed in the pre-state Queensbury Invitational on a hot and humid day. The Bulldogs competed in division four and the boys finished in 20th with 511 points while girls finished 19th with 458 points.

Big kick: Bulldogs’ Arlen Wright comes out of the woods in front of many runners as he makes his way towards the finish line. Wright finished 89th with a time of 20:13.1.

Last push: Bulldogs’ Eric Bates takes deep breaths as he makes his way down the last long stretch towards the finish line. Bates finished 134th with a time of 21:03.5.

Determined Bulldog: Bulldogs’ Patrick Lendrum comes out of the woods into the sunny last stretch of the 3-mile course. Lendrum finished 147th with a time of 21:23.4.

Feeling the heat: Bulldogs’ Miles Perkins comes into the hot sunny course after leaving the woods as he heads to the finish. Perkins finished 151st with a time of 21:35.6.

Pumping hard: Bulldogs’ Henry Gumper starts to make his final push towards the finish as he starts to swing his arms. Gumper finished 253rd with a time of 26:35.6.

Mass chaos: Bulldogs’ Natalie Elble (453) and Emma McFadden (456) follow after one another as the huge division 4 runners all make their way down the course after the starting horn. Elble finished 62nd with a time of 24:13.7 and McFadden finished 73rd with a time of 24:37.9.

Bulldog pack: Bulldogs’ Lilly Perkins (459) and Emma McFadden (456) both pass Adirondacks Zoe Christiansen as they both exit the woods. Perkins finished 74th with a time of 24:41.3 and McFadden finished 73rd with a time of 24:37.9.

Looking at the scenery: Bulldogs’ Ireland O’Donnell watches as spectators stand alongside the course as O’Donnell comes out of the woody course. O’Donnell finished 187th with a time of 34:50.5.
