On Tuesday, Oct. 11, the Berne-Knox-Westerlo cross-country team took on the Duanesburg Eagles and Schoharie Indians in a tri-meet at Schoharie High School. The boys’ side only had one runner, but he was injured. The girls’ team had two athletes and ran well.

On Friday, Oct. 7, the Helderberg Valley, composed of Berne-Knox-Westerlo and Duanesburg students, battled the Corinth-Fort Edward-Hadley Luzerne football team at Corinth High School. HV led from the start and never looked back by winning, 42 to 6.

On Thursday, Sept. 29, the Berne-Knox-Westerlo girls’ volleyball team faced off against Western Athletic Conference foe Mayfield. The Bulldogs fell in four sets; 20-25, 17-25, 25-23, 21-25.

Last Wednesday, Sept. 28, the BKW-Duanesburg boys’ soccer team hosted the Fonda-Fultonville Braves. The BKW-Duanesburg Beagles led from the opening whistle to the final and won, 3 to 1.

The combined Berne-Knox-Westerlo and Duanesburg swim team took to the pool at Mohonasen High School on Sept. 27 to take on the Academy of the Holy Names. BKW-Duanesburg won, 82 to 58.

On Monday afternoon, Sept. 26, the Berne-Knox-Westerlo girls’ soccer team hosted a Western Athletic Conference matchup against Fort Plain. The Hilltoppers were short handed on the bench and the BKW Bulldogs kept the ball for most of the game, winning 6 to 1.

On Friday, Sept. 2, the Berne-Knox-Westerlo golf team faced off against Galway at Pioneer Hills Golf Course. The Bulldogs fell, 234 to 185.

On Thursday and Friday, June 2 and 3, Berne-Knox-Westerlo, Voorheesville and Guilderland track athletes competed in the two-day Section 2 state qualifier event for this weekend's NYSPHSAA state meet in Cicero.

On Thursday, May 26, the Berne-Knox-Westerlo track team competed in the Section 2, Group 5 sectionals held at Stillwater High School in Stillwater. The girls finished in eighth with 26 points and the boys finished in 10th with 18 points.

Last Wednesday, May 18, the Berne-Knox-Westerlo softball team opened up the Section 2, Class C sectionals at home against Duanesburg. The Bulldogs had an easy time against the Eagles, winning 15 to 3. They lost on Friday to Lake George in the bottom of the seventh, 2 to 1.
