These local members of the New York National Guard have recently re-enlisted:

— Sergeant Tyler Rose from Schenectady re-enlisted to continue service with the Company D, 3-142nd Aviation; and

These members of the New York Army National Guard have been promoted:

— Michael Mohabir from Schenectady, assigned to the 1427th Transportation Company, received a promotion to the rank of private first class; and

As rain continues to fall, the state’s departments of Agriculture and Markets and Environmental Conservation are funding the Community Resiliency Training program.

These local students recently earned degrees from Quinnipiac University in connecticut:

— Nicholas Balk of Albany earned a master of science degree in organizational leadership;

—  Jamie Berger of Albany earned a bachelor of science degree in health science studies;

These local students at Nazareth College in Rochester were named to the s2019 dean’s list, each with a grade-point average of at least 3.5:

— Nicole Anzalone of Schenectady;

— Adriana Brusgul of Altamont;

— Gabriella Ferrera of Slingerlands;

— Katia Hernas of Schenectady;

These local students are among the more than 200 from Hudson Valley Community College who were recently inducted into the Alpha Xi Sigma chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the international academic honor society for students at two-year colleges, each with a grade-point average of 3.71 or higher:

These local students were recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest all-discipline collegiate honor society:

— Ashley Bucklin of Slingerlands, at The Sage Colleges;

— Madison Demarest of Schenectady, at The Sage Colleges;

These local students have recently earned diplomas at Endicott College in Massachusetts:

—  Claire Warner of Delmar, the daughter of Mark Warner and Cindy MacCallum, graduated with a bachelor of science degree in nursing;

Renowned photojournalist Earl Dotter recently took pictures of refugees at a job-training session in Albany.  Dotter is known for his photos of people in hazardous jobs and environments.

On June 13, Indian Ladder Farms will host the second event in a two-part series on land conservation, which will focus on how farmers have conserved working farmland.
