These local students were named to the Rochester Institute of Technology Dean’s List for the spring 2019 semester, each with a grade-point average of 3.4 or higher:

These local students completed their baccalaureate studies at the State University of New York College at Oswego:

— Lauren O. Boyce of Altamont completed a bachelor of science degree in business administration;

ASSE International Student Exchange Programs is looking for local families to host boys and girls between the ages of 15 to 18 from a variety of countries, including Norway, Denmark, Spain, Italy, and Japan.

The Asbury Methodist Church on Route 81 in Norton Hill is holding a community festival on Saturday, Aug. 10, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“There will be a climbing wall, a dunk tank, specialty cars on display, music, kids’ games, contests, vendors and lots of fun for everyone,” says a notice from festival organizers.

ALTAMONT — The 2019 Altamont Fair, which runs from Aug. 13 to 18, will work with the South End Children’s Café to help children from Albany come to the fair and learn about agriculture.
