NEW SCOTLAND — In the last days before Tuesday’s election, campaign rhetoric has gotten heated.

Dog theft leads to truck theft

ALBANY COUNTY — Two Rochester men stole a dog in Guilderland, fled to New Scotland and stole a truck, and were later arrested in Guilderland, according to police.

NEW SCOTLAND — A dump truck turned over on Cass Hill Road yesterday morning just before 11 a.m. while going around a sharp corner — the driver came away with minor injuries, according to the Albany County Sheriff’s Office.

NEW SCOTLAND — A portion of Krumkill Road will be closed indefinitely on Nov. 12, according to Highway Superintendent Darrell Duncan.

Students get bumped when classes are filled

BETHLEHEM — Elementary classes in several Bethlehem schools are filled to their limit, meaning incoming students may be placed in schools outside of the area where they live.
