NEW SCOTLAND — A dump truck turned over on Cass Hill Road yesterday morning just before 11 a.m. while going around a sharp corner — the driver came away with minor injuries, according to the Albany County Sheriff’s Office.

NEW SCOTLAND — Sheriff’s deputies arrested Tina Civitello and Meagan Murdza for stealing $6,300 worth of gold jewelry from an acquaintance’s house.

VOORHEESVILLE — Two students were arrested after they were spotted by a neighbor in a vacant house that had, apparently, been used as a party spot.

BETHLEHEM — Elementary classes in several Bethlehem schools are filled to their limit, meaning incoming students may be placed in schools outside of the area where they live.

NEW SCOTLAND — Making his second run for town board, Timothy Stanton is on the Republican line this year.  Two years ago, he ran on a line called New Scotland FIRST, which was created after he lost his bid for the GOP line in a heated primary.

NEW SCOTLAND — Diane Deschenes and Darrell Duncan, the long-time Democratic clerk and highway superintendent, are each running again for a two-year term in uncontested races.
