Voorheesville's Main Street business district has never had a master plan. Now a committee with a hired consultant will share recommendations and listen to residents at a March 31 workshop.

Voorheesville's deputy clerk treasurer said in the decade she's worked for the village there has never been a contested election.

VOORHEESVILLE — Ruth Vincent, a small woman with a large personality, died in the home she had built, the home where she had lived most of her life.

She died on Tuesday, March 17, 2015.  She was 92.

“She was a teeny, tiny little firecracker of a person,” said her granddaughter, Rhonda Doherty.

A young, but experienced, cast tackles a serious show that has humorous moments.

VOORHEESVILLE — Robert A. Meilinger was a forthright family man with a dry sense of humor. He died Monday, March 16, 2015, at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. He was 72.

“He was a very honest person. If you asked him a question, he answered it,” said his wife, Anne Meilinger.

VOORHEESVILLE — Frank W. Warner was a loving husband and father, and a leader among industrial photographers. He died Thursday, March 12, 2015, at the age of 94.

“He was my loving father for 60 years,” said his son, Brian.

Florence Reddy, the first woman to serve on the village board in over a decade, owns a deli with her husband, and Brett Hotaling owns landscaping and storage businesses.

VOORHEESVILLE — Homemade take-out meals are available at the First United Methodist Church, 68 Maple Ave., and include dessert.
