Willard J. Dibble Jr.

EAST BERNE — Willard J. “Bill” Dibble Jr. of Old Road in East Berne was a quiet, loving man who played guitar and worked for the county as an equipment operator.

He died very peacefully on Friday, June 24, 2022, after having the time to say goodbye to his family. He was 63.

WESTERLO — Albany County will begin work on Monday, at 7 a.m., replacing culverts on county routes 402 and 404.
The culvert on Route 402 is located about 580 feet west of its intersection with Sherwood Road.

The culvert on Route 404 is located about 350 feet east of its intersection with Route 401.

The books, which come from a list put together by the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute, strive to connect young readers to key math concepts through storytelling, as opposed to the dry, lecture-like style of a textbook.

The Hilltown Seniors met on June 11 at the Senior Access/Community Center for their monthly meeting and celebration of their yearly anniversary.

The company’s current firehouse on Main Street, in East Berne, has become too small to fit the increasingly large emergency vehicles it relies on, in addition to being unaccommodating for fundraising events and other community activities. 

A 47-year-old woman was killed when a boat she was in capsized on Thompsons Lake.
