Responders attached a wench to secure the car that was kept hanging over the edge of the ravine by a guy wire.

Chairman Robert Price said the planning board still has to agree on a proposed change to the buffer that would separate business districts from residential areas.

The Republican committee doesn't have any candidates for town board so far, but will support Democrat Keith Wright for highway superintendent.

This past week was a heat wave, but life does not stand still.  On Monday, July 15, my granddaughter, Danielle Ricketts, needed to finish up some shopping for baby Zoey, who was now four weeks old. She had gift certificates to redeem. I went along to push Zoey while she browsed.

Even thought it is summer, the business of life goes on. A census questionnaire came in the mail, and phone calls came about surveys. 

The event will take place on Saturday, Aug. 10, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

There will be family history records for researchers, games, and a lot of fun for the whole family. 

Auditions are on Wednesday, Aug. 7, and Monday, Aug. 12, at 7 p.m. at the Helderberg Lutheran Church in Berne. A large cast is needed, so no one will be turned away.
