Can you believe it’s almost turkey time? Our Thanksgiving party will be on Saturday, Nov.

Monday, Oct. 14, was Columbus Day. Danielle had to work and I had Zoey. Brandon picked up Samson and Nichole for the day. This gave me the perfect opportunity to have Brandon take pictures of me with my three great-grandchildren, Samson, Nichole and Zoey.

Thomas Delp, committee chairman for the Rensselaerville water system, said the problem of large demands from the storage tank seem to be gone now that a leak has been shut off for an unoccupied home.

Rensselaerville assessor Donna Kropp was the subject of an ethics case last year — ultimately determined to be unfounded due to missing files — brought by a complaint of Jeffry Pine, a former assessor for the town who is now  running against her in the upcoming election.

KNOX — Currently the planning board’s secretary, Independence Party member Pamela Fenoff wants to unseat incumbent supervisor Michael Hammond. She says he has been in the job for too long.

KNOX — Now in his 40th year as the town’s supervisor, Democrat Michael Hammond is running again because he likes the job.

KNOX — The town board’s deputy supervisor and former liaison for the comprehensive plan, Democrat Nicholas Viscio, is seeking a sixth four-year term. He is running on Democratic and Independence Party lines.

KNOX — Republican town council candidate Robert Altieri wants to preserve Knox’s rural nature and residents’ individual liberties. He is running on Republican and Conservative lines.

KNOX — In addition to serving on the town board, Amy Lauterbach Pokorny attends many meetings each month for community groups. The incumbent Democrat is running for her first full term on the town board.

KNOX — Amanda Gullestad, a Conservative Party member, said she has become known in the past eight years of living in Knox through her jobs managing local convenience stores, as a cook, and as a store clerk. She is running on the Republican line for the part-time job of town clerk.
