To the Editor:

I would like to comment on your Jan. 16, editorial “Good dialogue makes good neighbors.” The editorial speaks to the dispute between neighbors Ms. Barbara Huba and Mr. Michele Salerno. 

Our January meeting lunch was nice hot chili; there’s nothing better for a cold winter day.

Another week is zooming by. The Polar Vortex weather is supposed to return this week; I guess before we know it, spring will be here. 

Because of the cold weather, the Albany County Sheriff’s Office has created a countywide registry for persons in need.

Knox's first official business district is one step closer to reality as the planning board finalized a map, stretching the length of the hamlet along Route 156.

Now staying with family, Lisa Kominos suspects a cinder from the chimney set her family's woodpile alight despite the rain and cold. A fund-raiser at The Hofbrau restaurant is being held on Jan. 23.

RENSSELAERVILLE — A hops workshop at the Carey Institute for Global Good on Jan. 18 will teach brewers, distillers, and farmers as part of the site’s fledgling hub for a local craft-beer industry.

Berne-Knox-Westerlo School Board President Joan Adriance thanked speakers at the Jan. 13 board meeting who requested documents related to the dismissal of basketball coach Andrew Wright this fall.

Kristen Reynders, owner of the towing business, said she was issued an appearance ticket for operating a business in a residential property.
