NEW SCOTLAND — A jury trial here is scheduled in July for Marcia Pangburn, arrested in Berne last summer for resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration.

KNOX — Mark Von Haugg worked in his career at trouble-shooting technology, but he had his domestic lifestyle figured out at a young age.

Mark Benedict Von Haugg died peacefully at his home in Knox on May 9, 2015. He was 74.

Mr. Von Haugg was born on Feb. 19, 1941 in Albany to Lothar and Bertha (née Hasse) Von Haugg.

RENSSELAERVILLE — The Preservation League of New York State has given the Daniel Conkling House in Rensselaerville an award for Excellence in Historic Preservation.

The league's statewide awards program honors notable achievements in retaining, promoting, and reusing New York State's irreplaceable architectural heritage.

Jane Paul, a top Berne-Knox scholar, worked for General Electric and the State of New York, and was active in her church.

She died peacefully on Monday, April 27, 2015, after a brief illness, at the Doak Walker House at Casey’s Pond, Steamboat Springs, Colorado. She was 90.

Sometimes Tuesday rolls around so fast, and at other times it seems like it will never get here. Tuesday, April 28, seemed like it was the day after the 21st; it was here in a flash.

A 40-year-old woman feels she was discriminated against for her neurological problems and fears she will have extended panic attacks in jail.

BERNE — As the sunny weather in the past week has sprouted seeds in backyards across the area, a couple is asking people to dig up their plants and bring them to the town park on May 16.
