This breaks my heart to hear this: North Country Animal Shelter posted on Facebook to watch out for “dog nappers.” Thieves are walking and driving around, stealing our loved pets. How sick is this.

BERNE — The Berne Conservation Club holds trap shooting every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. on its club property.

The club is located on Route 156, a half mile before the hamlet of Berne. All are welcome.

The Berne Conservation Club and The Guan Ho Ha Fish and Game Club competed in a trap-shooting contest on April 12 at the Guan Ho Ha property on Rector Road in Scotia. With team totals of 222 to 200, the Berne Conservation Club won.

With 13 shooters, the top five scores by the Berne Conservation Club are:

A special town board meeting will be held to discuss a draft noise-control law on April 28, at 7 p.m.
