Knox holds hearing on reducing speed limit on town roads

To the Editor:

There will be a public hearing on Tuesday, July 14, at 7:30 p.m. at the Knox Town Hall on the topic of enacting a town-wide speed limit of 35 miles per hour on all town roads in Knox.

During its June meeting, the Knox Town Board scheduled the public hearing as a result of continued concerns for public-safety issues related to traffic speed on town roads.

The public hearing will take place during the regular July Knox Town Board meeting.  I encourage everyone interested to attend and participate.  If adopted, the speed limit will affect Knox town roads only.

Nick Viscio, councilman

Town of Knox

Editor’s note: Nick Viscio is running for a seat in the Albany county Legislature.
