EAST BERNE — John F. “Jack” Sellnow, a retired New York State Trooper, and a member of the Berne Masonic Lodge, died on June 13, 2018. He was 75.

Born on June 18, 1942, he was the son of the late Charles Sellnow Sr. and Sadie Strzesiewski. He was lovingly raised by the late Jacob and Louise Sellnow Collen.

EAST BERNE — Lisa D. Mann-Hannan “passed into eternal life on Saturday, June 16, 2018, surrounded by her family and friends after a brief and courageous battle with cancer,” her family wrote in a tribute. She was 65.

Scott Green who was fired by the town of Berne two years ago following a dispute over health insurance, was charged with harassment last month after apparently visiting town hall.

The P&L Deli in Westerlo was broken into Sunday night. Over $1,000 worth of cash and cigarettes was taken.

After years of pushing to create a business district at the intersection of routes 156 and 157, the supervisor changed course to propose a multi-use district instead, which the Knox Town Board backed, 3 to 2.
